This years AFL Brownlow Medal was a big one for me, and with a myriad of talent being styled for footballs night of nights the pressure was really on to get everyone styled, dressed and on the red carpet in time and after a big day, countless hours of preparation and an enormous amount of assistants steaming, dressing, polishing and sewing the night went off without a hitch and allowed me to showcase my talent on footballs biggest fashion stage with some of it’s key players. The black tie event is a mecca for style, fashion and arts culture and this year I wanted to push the boundaries of the conventional “black tie” especially in the mens department to bring a new edgy glamour on to the wildly popular red carpet event and I think we managed to achieve it with a range of players opting for a less conventional look.

With help from menswear brands MJ Bale, Calibre, Van Heusen, Jack London, Institchu and Hugo Boss and womenswear brands Moss & Spy, Julie Goodwin Couture, Bronx and Banco and Zian Couture the over 100 talent were elegantly dressed in their finery and as each of the players, wags and guests made their way to begin their red carpet journey we placed all accessory brands including diamond pieces by Gregory Jewellers, a special watch by Tag Heuer, shoes by Julius Marlow (for men) and Edward Meller (for women), clutches by Olga Berg watches by Fossil and belts by Buckle 1922 across the talent to enhance their already suave looking ensembles.

If you haven’t yet seen my work at this years Brownlow Medal then take a look below at each of the talent with a description of what they are wearing, some of my favourites include the bold checkered look by Jack London that Western Bulldogs player Jason Johannisen wears, the Suede suit jacket by MJ Bale that Sydney player Isaac Heeney wears, the stunning couture ensemble by Julie Goodwin that Carlton‘s Tayla Harris wears and the incredibly intricate Bronx and Banco dress GWS wag Brigitta Olsson wears, but I’m excited to know which was your favourite look!
