After a successful first attempt at the Star-Spangled Stand-Up tour last June Frontier comedy is back with a hand picked trio, Brent Morin, Ramy Youssef & Josh Johnson, who are set to make you cry of laughter with their American comedy sets. The headliners made their Australian debuts in this show and crowds weren’t disappointed as the hilarious duo really put everything into their non-stop sets filled with laughter. Used as a tool to road-test international talent the formulas has seen a cult following grow around its highly anticipated sets that allow first time travelling acts the vessel to present live comedy to a new crowd.
Brent is known for one-hour stand up show on Netflix but he is much more than a “one-line” comic and after making Variety’s 10 comics to watch the extremely talented actor, comedian and writer flourished as he shared his gift with scores of crowds. With a string of late night appearances from Chelsea Lately to Comedy Central and The McCarthy’s to CONAN the well versed superstar brought his unique sense of charm down under and I’m sure it won’t be the last we hear from him. Josh is a former writer and performer on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon but don’t let that tempt you after featuring on Kevin Hart’s Hart of the City on Comedy Central and being named on of the networks “Comic’s to watch” his career has soared seeing him do his own half-hour special and accompanying album. Currently writing for Trevor Noah’s the Daily Show the young comedian fell into our hearts as he brought his satire down under and gave us everything we were hoping he would.
If you haven’t yet checked out Brent Morin, Ramy Youssef & Josh Johnson in their Star-Spangled Stand-Up debuts then take it from me this is not a show you want to have missed. The hilarious trio will have you wondering why you haven’t seen them earlier. If you missed the show then you truly did miss out but I am certain the team at Frontier will be bringing us the next instalment of this very popular show soon, so keep it on your radar.
