Showcasing some of Sydney’s harbour views while listening to world class DJ’s is a picturesque vision that the annual boutique music festival Harbourlife makes happen and this year was no different as they again packed scores of avid festival go-er’s onto Mrs Macquaries infamous Fleet Steps to party through the day and long into the night. Showcasing the best international talent in one of the city’s most picturesque locations the sold out event is a must-do for any fans of live music as it’s unique atmosphere and friendly vibe offer an inclusive space where together we party through our love of music!
This years event saw local talent turned international superstar Dena Amy start the party and as she warmed the crowd up for what was set to be a stellar day locals Eli Brown and DJ / producer Roland Tings took to the decks in quick succession. Chicago native and infamously acclaimed DJ Green Velvet was up next and as he delighted fans with an array of iconic tunes, including “Flash”, “Brighter Days” and “La La Land”, the day began to draw to a close and the night began to set in. With the crowd revved up and ready to go French artist Shiba San took to the stage and after a stellar set that kept the crowd dancing, even through the speckles of rain, we were treated to a set by producer Franky Rizardo as the night took to effect. Passing on the torch to the headline act Marc Kinchen (AKA MK) took to the stage with force bringing a set that not only kept the crowd dancing and singing along but also hyped for what he would play next. Showcasing his string of hits with new and old samples of works the masterful DJ showed just why world-over he is booked on sets that make you feel the music.
