This past weekend I was treated to a small holiday where I was asked to try the new range of Ben Sherman clothing at this years Bluesfest in Byron Bay. The British brand’s clothing fit in supremely at the iconic concert that takes over the bay city and as I worked my way through each of the days and nights I found myself feeling really ultra comfortable in each of the looks. Just to put into context my long jackets and jumpers it rained nearly each of the days we were in Byron but as I’m sure you know well a little rain never stopped a party and so we forged on!
With headliners like Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Iggy Pop, Paul Kelly, Tash Sultana, Hozier & Kasey Chambers it was no wonder that the 30th anniversary of the festival was set to be a big one and as over 20,000 attendees flocked to North Byron Parklands over the Easter break it was clear to see that a good time was going to be had, both for young and old. Day One saw me celebrate the day in a casual jumper and chino combo while I got to enjoy Baker Boy, Six60 & Ocean Alley. Day Two saw me in a casual open shirt and white tee with structured pants as Tash Sultana, Iggy Pop, Hozier & Norah Jones serenaded me all day. Day Three I chose to wear a printed turtleneck and chinos as The California Honey Drops, Imelda May, Ben Harper & Casey Chambers (who brought out The Veronicas) helped me party the day away. Day 4 was my last day and I chose to wear a graphic tee and long overcoat with corduroy pants as Mavis Staples, Yothu Yindi & Ben Harper all helped me send off Bluesfest in style.
