As one of the largest Australian online fashion retailers The Iconic knows it has to set a precedence and they did with the first chapter of the Iconic Studio yesterday which helped launch the brands launch of new denim. Being the most worn material of all time brands are now focussing heavily on their denim trade and with shapes, sizes and styles fit for everybody it’s no secret that brands are honing in on the perfect pair to share with their customers. The Iconic stocks many of these perfect pairs and so they insisted some A-List Australian musicians to help them showcase the over 40 denim brands they represent in men’s, women’s and kids options.
Dan Sultan, Nina Las Vegas, Slowly Slowly and Ali Barter not only featured in the new campaign but also played at the studio sessions night allowing crowds to see first hand the relationship between music and fashion bridging the gap of art together and allowing for a spectacular visual and audio creation that displayed the importance in each others lives. Held at an old warehouse in Kensington the stage was surrounded with a myriad of things to see and do from the painted walls to the street-styled indoor food trucks and the studio-styled Photo Booth to a live and on the spot tattoo artist the night allowed you to see a range of art mediums and how they rely on each other to be inspired and all while starting with a fabric we know as denim.
If you weren’t lucky enough to get to head along to the Iconic‘s studio then you missed one hell of a rocking party, but never fear as I have some of my favourite moments below from the night that was, including a first-look at what each of the acts was wearing, and yes they looked great in their denims!
