Carrying on the tradition of it’s sister show, RnB Fridays Live, the debut RnB Vine Days brings together some of Australia’s best wineries with iconic musical acts and creates a Day of The Green special event like nothing you’ve ever seen before. Melbourne’s Rochford Winery played host to the first run show headlined by surviving members of TLC and supported by crooners Boyz II Men, original gangsters Blackstreet as well as DJ sets by DJ Horizon & home-grown queen Yo! Mafia and I was lucky enough to be invited down, with a bunch of other Melbourne bloggers, to see the show and experience the grounds for myself.

As I headed down the pristine driveway adorned with rows of grapes basking in the mid-morning sun I was ready to take in the sights and sounds of the day with a horde of fans whom flocked to the venue in hopes to satisfy their RnB needs. As we made our way through the grounds and admired the fields, known for one of the best drops of Chardonay in the land, I began to think about lunch and grew excited for my pre-booked wine tasting. As I arrived at the restaurant I was taken to a room filled with vintage bottles and machinery and joined by a master sommelier who walked the group & I through what was on offer at the winery, from Rose’s & Pinot’s to Sauv Blanc’s and that award-winning Chardonnay, before offering to help us pick a bottle to enjoy with our meal. Before sitting down I picked my rose and as the plate sat in front of me I began to be in awe of the stunning intricacy of my delectable (specially made) couscous which was followed promptly by a sweet treat, desert, made entirely of fresh berries that left me feeling both completely full and in a state of euphoric happiness.

After finishing the delightful meal we headed outside as a group to experience the wonders of the festival. As Blackstreet wound up their set and Boyz II Men took the stage it was clear that everyone was here to party and as they played through their catalogue of 90s tunes the crowd sang, danced and cried along with them. Winding into the night it was almost time for the main act, and as the crowd grew TLC burst out onto the stage like it was 1990 and they were ready to turn all the way up! As the sun set took full effect the band, now one member less, paid homage to Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and their fans of twenty something years reminding us that this journey has been one we lived through together before performing their hits as if all 3 of them where together again.

If you missed this years RnB Vine Days at the stunning Rochford Winery then make sure you don’t make that mistake twice. With a sold out show and more and more support I’m sure the heavily anticipated show will return for next season but until then enjoy some of my favourite moments from the day below. Make sure you check out the stunning winery also open all year long with a fully functioning restaurant, and food to die for, not to mention their cellar which offers a range of their exquisite wines.
