With the announcement and release of their limited series of rare Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey created by Master Distiller Eddie Russell yesterday Wild Turkey decided to throw a small soiree that hosted Sydney’s finest foodies in an effort to show off the creation, Master’s Keep Revival, to the towns Tastemaker’s. Partnering with ex Masterchef star and now co-owner / chef of Three Blue Ducks, Andy Allen, the event showcased flavours of the past, present and future as it celebrated everything the fabulous brand is known for.

As an ode to a classic Wild Turkey bourbon recipe released decades ago by Eddie’s father and distilling partner, Master Distiller Jimmy Russell the brew aims to tell the personal story, the legacy, of the godfather of bourbon and his journey through the decades as the longest standing distiller in the world. Reviving an old family recipe made from a blend of rich flavours with aromas of raisins, citrus, nuts and oaks the ale is rested for 12 to 15 years in a reserved lot of American Oak barrels before being finished in 20-year-old Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks and having taste tested it for myself I can tell you it’s something every bourbon lover will covet!

If you haven’t yet seen the new Wild Turkey Masters Keep Revival then you’re in luck as it is now released in stores Australia wide. If you missed out on an invite to the launch party however take a look below at some of my favourite moments from the night.
