As far as red carpet style in Australia goes the Brownlow Medal is one of our premium events and with a full roster of talent to dress, style and have ready for AFL’s night of nights I was in for a hugely busy week. Between fittings, hair trials, makeup looks and a host of flights, drives and uber rides all over the country we were finally ready to arrive at the big day with a host of looks that were ready to grace the red carpet. With my amazing team behind me this big day started and as we built on a host of looks with finishing touches, jewellery, shoes and pocket squares we were finally ready to share weeks of planning with the world as a number of the AFL’s best & brightest stepped out with their partners.
Carolyn & Leon Cameron were our first couple to sort out on the day and as they got dressed it was clear to see just how well the duo compliment each-other. In a very dapper Joe Black suit Leon accompanied the wildly stunning Carolyn in an all black semi-brocaded Elle Zeitoune dress finished with a Cerrone Jewellers diamond bracelet & necklace and Alias Mae heels that screamed old Hollywood glamour. Highlighted by a bold red lip and subtle smoky eye this duo allowed for a great start to the day. As we moved on to Jack Billings & girlfriend Sarah Jilly we were moved to see such a young couple deal with the pressure of the day so well. As Jack got into his Pierre Cardin suit the time had come for the big outfit reveal and Sarah stunned as she arrived in her green lace Julie Goodwin couture dress and diamond earrings and bracelets that were accompanied by a one-of-a-kind square lime green Cerrone Jewellers necklace.
Next up were Gold Coast star Jarryd Lyons & retiring cat Tom Lonergan. The duo, both attending their first Brownlow, trusted in me to make sure they looked amazing and as they got into their custom looks by Joe Black and the finishing touches were added on the two dapper gents I knew we had struck a winning look for them both. Accompanying GWS co-captain Phil Davis was his girlfriend Greta Kernan, who could of frankly worn a hessian bag and still looked amazing, but as she got dressed in a mastered off-white strapless gown by Mariana Hardwick and adorned herself in custom diamonds by Cerrone Jewellers every person in the room went silent in awe of her beauty.
Last on this years list of talent were a host of gents waiting to get themselves into custom MJ Bale suits. As North Melbourne star Robbie Tarrant joined Perth local Lachie Neale, Gold Coaster Tom Lynch, Sydney-siders Jeremy Cameron, Phil Davis and Josh Kelly, Melbournian Michael Hibberd & Essendon veteran Michael Hurley the challenge was on to make sure each boy looked dapper enough to walk the carpet while keeping true to themselves and their individual styles. As each boy finished getting ready and the final touches were done I knew we had accomplished the great challenge. Each boy looked as stylish as the next while each had a hint of their own style in their suiting.
