Celebrating 25 years of independently recognising and honouring now globaly recognised talent this years annual Australian Hair Fashion Awards presented by L’Oréal Professionnel held a lavish black-tie gala dinner under the Luna Park Big Top in Sydney to welcome in this years successes. With over 900 guests from across the country the event brings together talented individuals, groups & companies from the hair, fashion and beauty worlds to celebrate the crème de la crème of the creative arts industry.
With over 900 guests in attendance from across the nation and a host of home-grown talent flying in from around the globe the night honours those who have achieved excellence in their creative field and allows a vast audience to witness a range of high-profile acts including musical performances, a fashion runway, an awards segment all topped off by an infamous and much anticipated after-party.
As a leading industry event both at home and abroad this years competition was fierce. With over 15 catergories nominees this year really felt the heat with an immense number of competitors all wanting that top position. Fashion Stylist Leticia Dare took out the top honours in the fashion sector while Makeup Artist Sarah Laidlaw took out the the top beauty honours before Nathan Cherrington of Toni & Guy, Danielle Solier of Xiang Hair and salon Edwards & Co became honourees amongst the hair sector. Damien Rinaldo of Boris the Cuttery took out the major award of the night winning the coveted Australian Hairdresser of the Year 2017 and following in the footsteps of iconic Australian hair masters.
