After bursting onto the scene in 2010 it seems as though Bastille has never really been out of the spotlight! With an array of hits and a multitude of infamous covers, seen by millions online, the four-piece British pop band have become an unstoppable music force that is instantly recognisable. Late last year Aussie fans were left waiting as the band had to reschedule it’s tour down under but this week fans in Sydney and Melbourne were treated as the long awaited show was back on, and boy did they make up for it.
After Australian pop diva Nicole Millar warmed up the crowd it was time for the headliners to take the stage and from the moment the music started a sea of hands, dance moves and fans mouthing the words to every song was all you could see as far as the eye could see. With their third album on its way the band teased new music while allowing fans a sing-a-long with songs like World’s Gone Mad, Quarter Past Midnight, Flaws and the iconic Pompeii which played amongst collaborations like I Know You with Craig David and Happier with Marshmello.
If you missed out on seeing the epic Bastille tour this time around then I can tell you first hand you will never want to make that mistake again! The incredibly talented quartet I’m sure will again grace our shores but until then take a look at some of my favourite moments from the show that was!
