With a string of pop anthems behind her Anne-Marie‘s recent Australian tour gave fans of the pop songstress a chance to see her before her recently announced stadium tour next year. After a stellar year of opening for Ed Sheeran and releasing an album, Speak Your Mind, the tour was a chance for the British diva to get out on the road and connect her fans with her music in intimate settings so that she can party with them through the whole album next time she’s around and with a full house at last night’s Melbourne show singing along to every song I’d say she did a pretty good job at what she set out to achieve.
From Alarm to Ciao Adios and everything in between the musically minded artist ran through her catalogue of work as if playing the soundtrack to our last year. With heartfelt love songs to never-crying-again breakup tunes the artist played it all on the line and as we joined her on the magical ride that her show is we too felt the pain, happiness, tears and sadness that she wanted us to through an angelic voice that she calls her craft. Working in some of her original works from her Karate and Bang To The Boogie albums the night was full of surprises but the biggest high of the night was when Aussie rapper Illy joined her onstage for a one-time-only live version of their tune Catch 22 .
If you didn’t get a chance to see the incredible Anne-Marie live this time around then I urge you not to make that same mistake again when she is here next year. From her angelic voice to her electrifying stage presence her show is not one you’ll want to miss! Make sure you head online to Frontier’s website and book your place to see her upon her arrival back down-under, but for now take a look below at some of my favourite moments from the night that was.
