After taking the Melbourne club scene by storm XE54 yesterday decided to throw a day party at the Untitled Group‘s iconic Footscray location The Wool Store to celebrate the music it loves so dear and the family their club has created and after seeing the party come to life for myself yesterday I can see why so many people flocked to see just what the ground-breaking club could create. Noted for its roster of multi-talented international DJ’s and producers the club in synonymous with the underground electro scene and they brought the same vibe to their day party with a host of the best international and local acts whom showcased just what a day party should consist of.

John Talbot, Noir, Willaris. K, Park Hye Jin, Wax’o Paraiso & Jordan Brando took to the purpose built stage along side a host of other club regulars in a day filled with dirty beats and good times just like the atmosphere of the electrifying club itself! The day was completed by some killer artwork that set the moods just right – including an electrifying pulse ring held high-above the crowd that pulsed alongside the beats being dropped on the main stage, a makeshift “side-room” that was highlighted in red lights and Japanese artwork, black lines and a cubed DJ space and an outside shipping container turned serving desk turned DJ booth that played house to some of the best tunes of the day.

If you didn’t get the chance to see XE54‘s takeover of the Untitled Group‘s iconic The Wool Store day party series then you really did miss out! While we are sure the parties will continue, given their great success, the venue will play home to it’s last party in just under a month before it gets demolished. Take a look at some of my favourite moments from the day below.
